Public Commemoration
Public Commemoration is a event type classification node in Kayffa's museum taxonomy, grouped under public and political events. It applies when the asset, entity, collection, or region has clear evidence for this lens through visible content, captions, provenance, OCR, linked entities, or editorial review. Use it to connect archival material across records without turning a named person, place, work, organization, publication, or event into a category; named records should remain Entities and be linked to this reusable classification when appropriate.

Usage
Use Public Commemoration when this lens is visible, sourced, or editorially central to retrieval and interpretation.
Exclusions
Do not use Public Commemoration for incidental mentions, weak visual guesses, or named records that should be modeled as Entities.
