Patrons & Collectors
Patrons & Collectors is a identity and role classification node in Kayffa's museum taxonomy, grouped under Who. It applies when the asset, entity, collection, or region has clear evidence for this lens through visible content, captions, provenance, OCR, linked entities, or editorial review. Use it to connect archival material across records without turning a named person, place, work, organization, publication, or event into a category; named records should remain Entities and be linked to this reusable classification when appropriate.
Usage
Use for recurring roles, professions, or social functions related to Patrons & Collectors, not for individual named people.
Exclusions
Do not use as a substitute for a person entity or biography.
